Wood Duck - reflections

Description: Original oil painting – 14†w x 11" ht.
This is a study for a larger painting; I am exploring the natural composition found in small sections of birds, such as this Wood Duck. The paint style is figurative abstract using thick impasto oil applied via pallet knife to show the brilliant colors found on the side of a Wood Duck's beautiful head. I see these secretive ducks along the creek bottom of my favorite birding trail.
Title: Wood Duck - reflections.
Painted on traditional ¾†depth canvas, staple free edge is suitable for hanging with or without framing. The edge is currently unpainted. Ships in flat container.
